What is a Maintenance Detail?
Maintenance detailing is a scheduled car detailing service that happens on a regular basis. How regular varies from customer to customer. In order for it to be considered a maintenance detail it must take place within a maximum time of two months or eight weeks.
This service is cheaper than a regular full detail because it happens on a consistent basis and the vehicle does not have time to get dirty enough to charge the regular price. It is ideal for customers needing a top-up for their ceramic coating to ensure its longevity or for those who haven’t the time to maintain their vehicle regularly
What are the advantages of a Maintenance Package?
There are several advantages to maintenance detail package. The most obvious being it’s cheaper. Since the vehicle is detailed on a regular basis, it does not require the same amount of product and effort to clean as a one-time customer’s vehicle requires. It is for this reason that a maintenance plan does not cost the same amount as the standard full detail cost.
A regular detail will keep a car as close to like-new, or showroom condition, as is possible. Grime is not allowed to sit for an extended period of time and therefore does not become a permanent part of the car. One of the worst offenders in this regard is tree sap or bird poo, which if left can stain the clear coat.
How often should you detail your car?
The simple answer is as often as you like. Once a week will not damage your car, in fact, it may even extend the life of the interior plastics, rubber trims and most definitely help your paintwork. Try to apply some UV protection that has hydrophobic qualities (meaning it helps water to bead and run off the surface with ease.)
Our maintenance packages can be scheduled fortnightly, monthly or every other month, so within the 8 week cut off time.
More regular details attract a lower cost, so factor this in when considering this option.
